Anyone else think that the Internet gives everyone a second chance? It's like a blank piece of paper when we start and we can create whoever we want to be instead of being trapped within ourselves.

I don't know about second chances, though some people had said that I say more online than in person.

I think it does in a way. It lets us express ourselves that may be difficult in real-life, or at least finding a community of people who are experiencing the same things we are (such as a comm. for dysthymics).

my opinion only

but straight up. the internet is a way for people to express themselves without any of the effort. it is loaded down with mean cynicism that would be sad but its the internet so who cares? a second chance at what? life is more than talking or being heard. i've heard people get into these community things, i just don't get it. personally, as much thy scare the shit out of me, i prefer to look anyone in the face when i talk to them. i'd say the internet is an entire fabrication, a fabricated second chance, no real one. who needs another chance when it would seem you aren't yet done with the turn yet to play?
